Here we are. At home. It’s been months now.

We have cleaned out the pantry, closets, made a give-away pile that is so high it is blocking walkways. We have watched Netflix, Hulu, You Tube and old reruns from the 60s. We have gained the quarantine 15 or lost 15 from working out. We are gardening and keeping our lawns and beds looking prim and proper.

So, what about crafting? Have you made time or had time to craft? There have been virtual crops and classes. Hundreds of “creatives” are posting on Facebook and You Tube. You may have even started in with the patriotic craze that is going on.

For those of you who need a push we have some suggestions:

Go to Pinterest. Type in quarantine craft ideas.

Here are some other ideas:

Make a time capsule of this period of quarantine. You don’t have to dig a hole in the yard. You can put it on a high shelf or in a box in your closet.

Make a Quarantine journal. Include drawings, photos, articles.

Create a Gratefulness journal. (It seems counterproductive but really there is a lot to be grateful about.)

Make toilet paper scuzzies, you know the kind your grandma or great grandma had.

Make sweet cards for first responders, medical workers, people in nursing homes – you get the gist.

Learn some new recipes. Now is a great time to try something new.

Really there is a lot we can do now. The possibilities are endless. Just know that even though being quarantined is a drag on so many fronts, it can be a blessing in disguise. Take advantage of it! Craft on. (Just don’t use toilet paper.)
